Charity Race Night 2015

On Friday 16th October, The Admiral Trust held a Charity Race Night at Tooting and Mitcham’s Football Club, The Hub sponsored by Amicus Insurance Solutions. Right in the centre of MP’s Siobhain McDonagh’s constituency, the event was attended by friends of the charity along with sponsors, beneficiaries and those who just enjoy a flutter!

The Admiral Trust is pleased to announce that their successful Race Night raised in excess of £3,000. The beneficiaries of this sum will be local Merton youth causes, Wimbledon Kickboxing and Boxing Club and the Uptown Youth Organisation. Local MP Siobhain McDonagh attended the night and presented Wimbledon Kickboxing’s managers, Rodney and Didi, with a cheque for £2,000.

We’d like to thank Amicus Insurance for their kind sponsorship, all guests who attended and particularly Leader of Merton Council, Stephen Alambritis who ended the evening with a thoroughly entertaining bidding war!

Rodney James and Didi Fergurson of Wimbledon Boxing and Kickboxing Club said:

“We are very grateful for all the hard work the Admiral Trust have done for us and other local community groups.

They are definitely true to their motto of “Bringing together those in need with those who can help”.  It must take a lot of time and commitment in order to run a charity such as this and we very much appreciate their time and effort. Thanks again The Admiral Trust.
