‘Dear Terry,

I am bowled over!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

This cash donation came as a lovely surprise at the end of a very busy week.  It means we can carry on helping local vulnerable people with phonecalls to advise and reassure, hot meals for isolated elderly people and foodbank and other emergency items for families who are struggling.

I am delighted that the whole Commonside team has been recognised for our ongoing hard work at such a worrying time.

‘Good afternoon Terry,

That is absolutely wonderful news! I can’t tell you how thrilled we are and how grateful our incredible staff will be.

I thought you might like to know that already we have been able to fund 50 blood pressure monitors that can be used at home and given to vulnerable pregnant women so that they can avoid attending the Hospital as much as possible, along with 25 tablet computers that allow patients in isolation the chance to talk to their loved ones at home, particularly poignant when they are sadly receiving palliative care. We are also here to do more for our most vulnerable patients – especially those that are well enough to go home, but don’t have the necessary support at this time, which will help us free up much needed bed space.

This would simply not be possible without generous supporters like the Admiral Trust. Going forwards, your donation will help us:

• Buy medical equipment and supplies
• Provide much needed mental health support & welfare to NHS staff during this difficult time and in the weeks and months to come
• Give access to local accommodation for key NHS front line staff, protecting them and their families
• Support vulnerable patients, including those still undergoing cancer treatment, or those who live alone

I would be delighted to send you an update in due course to let you know how your support has helped and please let me know if you would like a formal receipt of funds.
